Jaipur, the pink city, has finally become a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is India’s first planned city founded by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1727, and is only the second Indian city to feature on the prestigious list. “In case of need, any World Heritage site can utilise World Heritage Funds for purpose of conservation, training to build capacity for management of WH site. Rajasthan tourism department is going to have a new tourism policy with priority to Destination Weddings and MICE activities (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions). It also focuses on encouraging film shooting in the state. The state expects to have improved private participation in its tourism projects. As per a recent report, wedding and MICE activities contribute around Rs 5,000 crores to the tourism industry in a year and have become major factors for increased hotel occupancy. After four long months, the Agra-Jaipur flight of Air India will start flying again from July 16th albeit at a changed time. The flight will be operating four days a week. The flight will be operated on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The flight will take off from Jaipur at 6:50 am and land in Agra at 8 am. The return flight will take off from Agra at 8:30 am and land in Jaipur at 9:30 am. It was just two days before that the flights between Kota and Delhi was inaugurated, and it have been stopped now following objections raised by the airport authorities over mandatory clearances for operating commercials flights. Low-cost carrier, Supreme Airlines had started operating flights between Kota and Delhi from April 11, using a nine-seat fixed wing craft. The Kota airport administration and the airlines operator are accusing each other for the discontinuation of the flights. മുംബൈ- ഡല്‍ഹി എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് വേ വരുന്നു. പാതയുടെ നിര്‍മാണം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാവുന്നതോടെ മുബൈയില്‍ നിന്ന് ഡല്‍ഹിയിലേക്ക് റോഡ് മാര്‍ഗമുള്ള യാത്രാസമയം 12 മണിക്കൂറായി കുറയുമെന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര ഉപരിതല ഗതാഗത മന്ത്രി നിതിന്‍ ഗഡ്കരി പറഞ്ഞു. നിലവില്‍ റോഡ് മാര്‍ഗം സഞ്ചരിക്കുവാന്‍ ഒരു ദിവസം വേണം. വേഗമേറിയ തീവണ്ടി രാജധാനി എക്‌സ്പ്രസില്‍ 16 മണിക്കൂര്‍ കൊണ്ടാണ് മുബൈയില്‍ നിന്ന് ഡല്‍ഹിയിലെത്തുന്നത്. കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ അംഗീകാരം നല്‍കിയ പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത് യൂണിയന്‍ റോഡ് ട്രാന്‍സ്‌പോര്‍ട്ടും ഹൈവേ മന്ത്രാലയവും ചേര്‍ന്നാണ്. നാല് ഘട്ടമായി പണിയുന്ന പാതയിലെ ഏറ്റവും കുറഞ്ഞ വേഗം 120 കിലോമീറ്ററായിരിക്കും. ഒന്നാംഘട്ടം ഡല്‍ഹി മുതല്‍ ജയ്പുര്‍ വരെയും രണ്ടാംഘട്ടം ജയ്പുര്‍ മുതല്‍ കോട്ട വരെയും മൂന്നാംഘട്ടത്തില്‍ കോട്ട മുതല്‍ വഡോദര വരെയും നാലാംഘട്ടം വഡോദര മുതല്‍ മുംബൈ വരെയുമാണ് നടപ്പാക്കാനുദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത്. 225 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ ദൂരം വരുന്ന ഡല്‍ഹി- ജയപൂര്‍ എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് വേ പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കുന്നതിനായി 16,000 കോടി രൂപയുടെ ചിലവാണ് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്. 15 മാസത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കാനാണ് ... The tourist arrivals to Rajasthan recorded a double-digit growth for the second year in 2017.  The tourist arrivals increased 10.50 per cent to 45.91 million in 2017 compared to the previous year.
