Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) conducted a roadshow in Hyderabad on 26th September to enhance commercial ties with the Indian travel trade fraternity. Israel Ministry of Tourism has appointed Sammy Yahia as the new Director of Tourism for India &Philippines markets effective 3rd June, 2019. Around 80 travel agents from 18 countries were hosted in the 8th edition of ‘Where Else’ conference, the official tourism conference held annually by the Israel Ministry of Tourism for the world travel fraternity. The week-long convention was held from 7th to 13th February, 2019. A 20-member delegation, comprising of destination management companies (DMCs) from Israel, interacted with over 100 key travel and tour operators, MICE providers, up-market leisure operators and media personnel during the event. Israel records 82% increase in Indian arrivals
Israel has witnessed a record breaking growth of 82 per cent in Indian tourist arrivals to the country from January to June, 2018, in the last three years. More than 40,000 Indian tourists visited Israel in the last six months as compared to the 22,000 footfall during the same period in 2015 as per the statistics released by Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT). Israel Tourism to conduct roadshow in 4 Indian cities
The Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) is all set to tour four Indian cities between July and August, with an aim to attract Indian tourists to the country. The campaign, which will feature roadshows in the cities, will highlight the West Asian nation as an attractive tourist destination. The Ministry will begin its maiden roadshow in Nashik on July 19 followed by Ahmedabad on August 27, Kolkata on August 29 and concluding in New Delhi on August 30. Israel takes a giant leap in tourism sector
Israel is becoming a favourite tourist spot for tourists and the initial statistics affirm this. As per reports, Israel had 1.36 million visitors from January-April this year. In this, 4,08,000 tourists alone visited Israel in April 2018 when compared to 3,50,000 last April, recording a 17%hike. The Ministry of Tourism claims that the revenue from tourists in April had exceeded NIS 2.1 billion. Out of all tourists visited Israel in April, 2,38,000 were from Europe. Close to 60,000 Indian tourists visiting Israel last year, marking a record growth of 31 per cent.
