Ryanair drags Ireland to court on travel restrictions
Ryanair has initiated legal proceedings against Ireland, questioning the legality of travel restrictions that have kept a quarantine policy in place for all but 15 countries. The Irish carrier, Europe’s largest budget airline, said it is challenging what it described as the Irish government’s “ineffective” green list of countries, for which a 14-day quarantine requirement does not apply, Reuters reports. Ireland’s world-renowned pub culture has been hit hard by the coronavirus lockdown and pub owners are certain that if the restrictions are not eased, they would be in utter ruins. Research conducted by TripAdvisor showed that users gave Ireland an overall 4.57 ranking out of 5 stars, which landed the country in fourth place for best travel experiences in the world. Ireland aims to attract 175,000 Chinese visitors by 2025
Tourism Ireland is planning to increase the number of the Chinese visitors to the island of Ireland to 175,000 by 2025. This will represent a 150 per cent increase over 2017 in the next eight years. Ireland to open its first nudist beach in April
The first nude beach on the island of Ireland will officially open at Hawk Cliff in Dalkey, south Dublin in April. Public notices are being posted in the area to warn fellow sunbathers not to be shocked at the sight of naked people roaming freely on the beach. Irish Naturist Association has been campaigning for a nudist beach for a while and finally got its wish when Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council agreed to display signs at Hawk Cliff warning people of nude sunbathers, a first for Ireland.
