Winter flight schedule for the Cochin International Airport will be effective from Sunday, 28th October 2018. This will continue until 30th March 2019. As per the new schedule CIAL will have direct flights for 8 more cities. New services will be started for Goa, Bhubaneswar, Visakhapatnam, Nagpur, Lucknow and Guwahati. Two cities with connection flights – Jaipur and Kolkata will have direct flights as per the new schedule. Budget passenger carrier IndiGo announced Hong Kong as its fifteenth international destination. The carrier will operate its daily non-stop flight between Hong Kong and Bengaluru, effective from December 11, 2018 at a starting all-inclusive fare of Rs 11,499. IndiGo is planning to launch non-stop flights between Kuala Lumpur-Bangalore and Kuala Lumpur-Delhi. The new flight routes will come into effect from November 15 onwards. IndiGo has announced the launch of 24 new flights on its network. The airline has introduced four new routes and will operate its first flight between Ahmedabad and Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad and Varanasi, Hyderabad and Patna and Kolkata and Surat. All 24 new services will commence from September 2018. IndiGo will provide a second flight in Agartala-Guwahati, Hyderabad-Guwahati and Kolkata-Nagpur routes. IndiGo will start direct flight from Bhubaneswar to Kolkata from August 1. Flight (A320) will depart from Kolkata and reach Bhubaneswar at 12.20 am on a daily basis and will depart from Bhubaneswar at 5.25 am. “We will also start direct flights between Bhubaneswar and Ahmedabad within few days. As part of the ‘mega anniversary sale’, the economy airline IndiGo to give away 1.2 million seats at a discounted rate starting from Rs 1,212/- across its network of flights including overseas destinations. Jet Airways said it will connect Patna with Allahabad from June 14 under the UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik) scheme. The flight will leave Allahabad at 8 am and reach Patna at 9.40 am. For the return journey, the flight will take off from Patna at 10.10 am and reach Allahabad at 11.50 am. The 72-seater aircraft will operate thrice a week -Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
