Indians are the most confident in the world about resuming international travel once they are allowed to do so, according a travel survey. They also top the list of people most eager to travel internationally in the next 12 months with 77% saying they are keen to travel, followed by Thais at 70% and Indonesians at 60%, said news agency ANI, quoting the new survey. Indians no longer require visas to visit Brazil: President
The president of the South American nation, Jair Bolsonaro, said it will drop its requirement that visiting Chinese and Indian tourists or business people obtain visas. Bolsonaro, came to power at the beginning of the year, has made it a policy to reduce visa requirements from a number of developed countries. The announcement, made during an official visit to China, is the first he has made expanding that policy to the developing world. MakeMyTrip has signed an agreement with TripAdvisor to offer choices for local experiences at international destinations to outbound Indian travellers. Bahrain witnesses 43% growth in arrivals from India in 2018
Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) said it has witnessed a 43 per cent jump in tourist arrivals from India in 2018. The revenue generated was 80 per cent higher than 2017. Bahrain Tourism has had its presence in India since January 2017 and has been aggressively promoting the destination in the market. Cambodia Association of Travel Agents sign MoU with Indian firm
The Cambodia Association of Travel Agents (CATA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with India’s SRAM & MRAM to increase the flow of tourists between the countries. The MoU was signed on Wednesday by Chay Sivlin, president of CATA, and Sailesh Lachu Hiranandani, SRAM & MRAM director. Emirates introduces special fares for Indian travellers
Emirates has launched special fares for travellers from India to select destinations from the airline’s global network, providing opportunities for travellers to explore over 159 destinations. The limited-time only fares can be booked between January 8 and 15, for a travel period from January 15 till November 30. “With return fares starting from Rs 19,473 to Dubai, there is more reason to embark upon new adventures,” Emirates said in a statement.
