Naval cooperation between India and the United Kingdom is based on the long term strategic relationship between both countries. Both Navies have, over the years, undertaken bilateral activities such as training exchanges and technical cooperation. The Bilateral KONKAN exercise provides a platform for the two Navies to periodically exercise at sea and in harbour, so as to build interoperability and share best practices. ആലപ്പുഴ മണ്ണഞ്ചേരിയിൽ യന്ത്രതകരാറിനെ തുടർന്ന് നാവികസേനയുടെ ഹെലികോപ്റ്റർ അടിയന്തരമായി ഇറക്കി. മുഹമ്മ കാവുങ്കൽ വടക്കേകരി പാടത്താണ് സേനയുടെ ചേതക് ഹെലികോപ്റ്റർ ഇറക്കിയത്. യന്ത്രതകരാർ മൂലം ആകാശത്ത് അരമണിക്കൂർ വട്ടമിട്ട് പറന്ന ശേഷമായിരുന്നു അടിയന്തര ലാൻഡിങ്. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് നിന്ന് മുംബൈയിലേക്ക് പോവുകയായിരുന്നു ഹെലികോപ്റ്റർ. ക്യാപ്റ്റന്മാരായ കിരൺ, ബെൽവന്ത് എന്നിവർ സുരക്ഷിതരാണ്. കോക്പിറ്റിൽ അപായ സൂചന ലഭിച്ചതിനെ തുടർന്ന് കൺട്രോൾ റൂമുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെടുകയും തുടർന്ന് ലഭിച്ച നിർദേശ പ്രകാരമാണ് അടിയന്തര ലാൻഡിങ് നടത്തിയതെന്നും ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ പറഞ്ഞു. നാവികസേനയുടെ സാങ്കേതിക വിദഗ്ധർ എത്തിയ തകരാർ പരിഹരിച്ച ശേഷം ഹെലികോപ്റ്റർ സ്ഥലത്ത് നിന്ന് നീക്കം നീക്കം ചെയ്യും.

A group of six women from the Indian Navy created history by successfully crossing Cape Horn through the Drake Passage, which is the roughest stretch of water on the planet. Sailing in Indian Navy Sailing Vessel, INSV Tarini, the team crossed Cape Horn, the Mount Everest of sailing, as part of the Navika Sagar Parikrama expedition, the first ever attempt by an all-women crew from India to sail around the globe.
