ജിദ്ദ കിങ്​ അബ്​ദുൽ അസീസ്​ അന്താരാഷ്​ട്ര വിമാനത്താവളത്തിലെ ഇഫ്​താർ പദ്ധതി തുടങ്ങി. ഇഫ്​താർ സമയത്ത്​ ആഭ്യന്തര, വിദേശ ടെർമിനലുകളിലെത്തുന്ന യാത്രക്കാർക്കാണ്​ വിമാനത്താവള ഒാഫീസ്​ ചാരിറ്റബിൾ സൊസൈറ്റികളുമായി സഹകരിച്ച്​ ഇഫ്​താർ പദ്ധതി ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്​. പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ മൂന്ന് ലക്ഷം യാത്രക്കാർക്ക്​ ഇഫ്​താർ വിഭവങ്ങൾ നൽകാനാണ്​ പരിപാടി. ഇതിനായി നിരവധി ജോലിക്കാരെയും സന്നദ്ധ സേവകരായി 70 പേരെയും ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്​. വിവിധ ഭക്ഷ്യവസ്​തുക്കളടങ്ങിയ പതിനായിത്തിലധികം പാക്കറ്റുകളാണ്​ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽ ദിവസവും വിതരണം ചെയ്​തുവരുന്നത്​. നോർത്ത്​, സൗത്ത്​, ഹജ്ജ്​ ഉംറ ടെർമിനലുകളിലായി ഇഫ്​താർ വിഭവങ്ങളുടെ വിതരണത്തിനായി മൂന്ന്​ തമ്പുകളും ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്​. തറാവീഹ്​ നമസ്​കാരത്തിനു ശേഷം സുബ്​ഹി വരെ സമയങ്ങളിൽ യാത്രക്കാർക്ക്​ ഇൗത്തപഴവും കഹ്​വയും സംസമും നൽകുന്ന രീതിയിലാണ്​ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിലെ ഇഫ്​ത്താർ പദ്ധതി.

Emirates has commenced its signature Ramadan service for customers during the holy month. Emirates’ Ramadan service consists of specially crafted iftar meals on board, relevant programming on its ice inflight entertainment system, and the distribution of dates and water on the ground for those breaking their fast. Emirates provides iftar boxes with a nutritional meal for customers breaking their fast on board. The boxes have been redesigned this year by local homeware specialists Silsal Design House. When it is Ramadan time, there’s no other food that can replace the rich, traditional Hyderabadi haleem during Iftar, to break the fast. Originally an Arabic dish, haleem was introduced by the former rulers of Hyderabad, Nizams. Haleem is a kind of stew made of meat, lentils and pounded wheat made into a thick paste. In recognition of its cultural significance and popularity, Haleem was granted Geographical Indication status (GIS) by the Indian GIS registry office in 2010.
