Singapore Tourism Board organises roadshows in eight Indian cities
As part of its series of initiatives to attract and welcome diverse travellers from key metropolitan and secondary Indian cities to Singapore, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has organised an eight-city roadshow, together with close to 45 Singapore tourism stakeholders, in Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad, Madurai, Kolkata, Rajkot, Guwahati, Nagpur and Jalandhar. Air Asia to start additional flights to four routes from May 20
Utilising the free slots vacated by Jet Airways, Air Asia India is planning to commence additional flights from the Delhi airport by May 20. The airline will launch additional flights to Indore, Bagdogra, Hyderabad and Ranchi from Delhi starting May 20. The booking is open till May 19 with fares starting from Rs 3,079. The flight I5 752 will depart at 05:35 from Delhi and arrive at 07:05 in Indore while flying back at 07:35 and reaching Delhi by 08:55. SpiceJet to start Hyderabad-Jeddah daily flight from March 25, 2019
SpiceJet will start a daily direct flight between Hyderabad and Jeddah from March 25, 2019. This is the ninth foreign destination of the airline. SpiceJet will operate its new 189-seater Boeing 737 MAX aircraft on the route, the airline said in its press statement. War flight Tupolev-TU 142 M, the anti-submarine warfare aircraft of Indian Navy, will be converted to a defence museum in Hyderabad. Telangana State Tourism Department in association with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is planning to establish the defence museum in Hyderabad where defence related labs and missiles would be exhibited for the public. IndiGo introduces 4 new routes; adds 24 new flights across India
IndiGo has announced the launch of 24 new flights on its network. The airline has introduced four new routes and will operate its first flight between Ahmedabad and Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad and Varanasi, Hyderabad and Patna and Kolkata and Surat. All 24 new services will commence from September 2018. IndiGo will provide a second flight in Agartala-Guwahati, Hyderabad-Guwahati and Kolkata-Nagpur routes. It is also planning to run a fourth flight between Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar and a fifth flight between Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. Jet Airways commences services from Indore to Hyderabad and Chandigarh
Jet Airways has commenced new flights on the Indore – Chandigarh – Indore – Hyderabad and Bengaluru – Guwahati routes. It has also commenced services from Indore to Hyderabad and Chandigarh. Jet Airways flight 9W 955 departed from Indore at 1245 hrs arriving at Chandigarh at 1445 hrs. On its return journey, flight 9W 958 will depart from Chandigarh at 1515 hrs and land at Indore at 1715 hrs. A two-day Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) featuring domestic and outbound destinations began at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on Friday, 13th July 2018 The first day of the show was reserved only for travel trade while the second day is open for all, including general public. The two-day travel trade show brings together State tourism boards, national tourist offices, hoteliers, airlines, tour operators and travel agents, online travel companies, railways and cruise lines under one roof, according to a press release.

Hyderabad records 76% foreign tourist arrivals in 2017
Hyderabad has registered a 76 per cent rise in foreign tourist arrivals (FTAs) in 2017 owing to the rise in the number of meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) in the city. The city’s domestic tourist arrivals (DTAs) shot up by 16 per cent last year. According to Telangana tourism department, 2017 ended on a high note with as many as 2.47 lakh foreign tourists visiting mana sheher, against 1.63 lakh who travelled to Hyderabad in 2016. Domestic tourist arrivals rose from 2.33 crore in 2016 to 2.71 crore last year. Maximum tourist arrivals were recorded between September and December. The ... Read more

The online peer to peer cab service, Uber and Ola drivers from Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad had declared, a national wide infinite strike from Saturday midnight. The drivers collectively have put forward over 6 demands against the corporates. The advertisement from Uber and Ola are misguiding the drivers, as they fail to generate revenue to return their monthly vehicle EMI.
