Tourist centers will be set up in each Panchayat; P.A Muhammad Riyaz

Minister P. A Mohammad Riyaz has said that at least one tourist center will be set up in all the panchayats in the state. Campaigns will be launched in various countries to attract tourists for planning their Kerala Trip. He said the target was to attract 20 lakh tourists to the state by 2025. The decision is part of a move to promote domestic tourism. Pilgrimage tourism schemes will be promoted. Lockdown in Goa from today: Know the Travel restrictions

Goa announces four-day lockdown. The lockdown will last from 7 pm on Thursday 29th April to Monday 3rd May. All activities in the state, including tourism, will be temporarily banned. Including casinos and restaurants will not work. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said that the decision was taken in the hope that the lockdown would reduce the number of covid cases in the state. Tourists can soon enjoy home stays in villages around Statue of Unity

Travellers can soon enjoy homestays around the iconic Statue of Unity in Gujarat. The administration of Narmada district is planning to introduce homestay facility for tourists visiting the world’s tallest statue, located in Kevadia Colony. A total of 116 houses have been identified in 22 villages around the Statue of Unity, where 252 rooms will be renovated as homestay accommodations for the tourists. The houses were shortlisted based on whether they are pucca houses and whether there is an extra or spare room in the house which can be utilized for the purpose. Home-stay business in the Xinjiang Uygur of Northwest China is flourishing, as the winter tourism getting momentum. Andhra Pradesh to promote homestays in rural areas

Andhra Pradesh Tourism department plans to promote the concept of homestays in areas where commercial accommodation providers are less in the Krishna, Guntur and West Godavari districts. This is as part of the state’s second phase of rural tourism development plans. Relevant places from these districts will be selected and included in the tour packages.
