The 2018 Men’s Hockey World Cup will be held in Bhubaneswar, India, starting from November 28. As part of the beatification programmes of the capital city on the occasion of the Men’s Hockey World cup, a team of four international artists were assigned by the authorities for painting 3D murals on five walls Bhubaneswar. Tracy Lee Stum from Southern California and her team members Julio, G Dler and Ana Ronen painted murals in five different areas of the city. Odisha government is planning to conduct road-shows to promote sports tourism in the state, in view of the forthcoming Hockey Men’s Cup to be taken place at Kalinga Stadium from 28th November to 16th December. The campaigns may start from 27th September, in 17 cities including four metro cities. The organizers claim that this is the first time India, such a campaign is taking place to promote sports tourism and the objective is to showcase Odisha as a sports hub and a tourist destination.
