India is negotiating with 13 countries, including Australia, Japan and Singapore, to establish separate bilateral air bubble arrangements for international flight operations, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said. Under a bilateral air bubble pact, airlines of both the countries can operate international flights with certain restrictions. Puri said on Twitter air bubbles have also been proposed with our neighbours Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bhutan. Civil aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Thursday said that bilateral air bubbles will be the way forward in resuming international travel amid the Covid-19 pandemic. “I think the answer is bilateral air bubbles – which will carry a number of people but under defined conditions – as countries continue to impose entry restrictions including India,” Puri said at a press conference. അര്‍ധരാത്രിക്കുശേഷം മെട്രോ സര്‍വീസ് നടത്താന്‍ ഡിഎംആര്‍സിക്കു പദ്ധതിയില്ലെന്നു കേന്ദ്ര നഗരവികസന മന്ത്രി ഹര്‍ദീപ് സിങ് പുരി. വിമാനത്താവള പാതയില്‍ രാത്രി സര്‍വീസ് ആരംഭിക്കണമെന്ന ആവശ്യം ശക്തമായതിനു പിന്നാലെയാണു മന്ത്രിയുടെ പ്രതികരണം. മെട്രോ ട്രെയിനുകള്‍ വൃത്തിയാക്കുന്നതുള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള ജോലികള്‍ നടത്തുന്നതു രാത്രിയിലായതിനാല്‍, സര്‍വീസ് സമയം നീട്ടുന്നതു തല്‍ക്കാലം ഡിഎംആര്‍സിയുടെ പരിഗണനയിലില്ല. ട്രെയിനുകള്‍ ശുചീകരിക്കാന്‍ കുറച്ചു സമയം മാത്രമാണു ലഭിക്കുന്നതെന്നും അര്‍ധരാത്രിക്കു ശേഷം സര്‍വീസ് നടത്താന്‍ നിലവില്‍ പദ്ധതിയില്ലെന്നും മന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. വിദേശ വിമാനങ്ങളില്‍ പലതും നഗരത്തിലെത്തുന്നത് അര്‍ധരാത്രിക്കു ശേഷമായതിനാല്‍, മെട്രോ സര്‍വീസ് സമയം നീട്ടണമെന്നു നേരത്തെ ആവശ്യമുയര്‍ന്നിരുന്നു. വിമാനത്താവള പാതയില്‍ രാവിലെ 4.45 മുതല്‍ രാത്രി 11.30 വരെയാണു സര്‍വീസ്. മറ്റു പാതകളില്‍ രാവിലെ അഞ്ചു മുതല്‍ 11.30 വരെയും.

Delhi Metro, as part of expanding its network, will inaugurate the 20 km long Pink Line connecting south and north-west Delhi (Majlis Park – Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus section).
