Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, has announced that it will resume its direct Abu Dhabi and Dubai flights with scheduled operations starting from July 5.  Gulf Air has been operating direct flights between Bahrain and the UAE since 1954 and both Abu Dhabi and Dubai have always been key successful routes within the Gulf Air’s network. The airline currently flies to and from London, Paris, Frankfurt, Manila, Athens, Cairo and Pakistan. Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, are set to explore deeper cooperation following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Bahrain International Airshow. Gulf Air, the flag carrier of Bahrain has received its first 787 Boeing Dreamliner. The aircraft made exclusively in America is a mid-size, twinjet, long-haul jet airliner made by Boeing Commercial Airplanes back in 8th July 2007. Currently, Gulf air plans to introduce the Boeing 787 on its long-range service from Bahrain and London, with four more additional delivery from Boeing. ബെംഗളൂരുവിൽ നിന്ന് ബഹ്റൈനിലേക്ക് മേയ് ഒന്നു മുതൽ നേരിട്ട് വിമാന സർവീസ് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. ഗൾഫ് എയറാണ് പ്രതിദിന സർവീസ് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. നിലവിൽ കർണാടകയിൽ മംഗളൂരു വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽനിന്നു മാത്രമാണ് ബഹ്റൈനിലേക്ക് നേരിട്ട് വിമാന സർവീസുള്ളത്. ഇതുവരെ ബഹ്‌റൈനിലേയ്ക്ക് പോകണമെങ്കില്‍ കര്‍ണാടകയുടെ ഒരറ്റം വരെ യാത്രചെയ്യണമായിരുന്നു. എല്ലാ യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്കും പെട്ടെന്ന് എത്തിച്ചേരാവുന്ന ബെംഗളൂരുവിൽ നിന്നും വിമാന സര്‍വീസ് ആരംഭിച്ചത് യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്ക് വലിയൊരു ആശ്വാസമാണ്. കൊടാതെ മെട്രോ സര്‍വീസ് വിമാനത്താവളം വരെ നീട്ടുന്നതിനാല്‍ ഇതും വിമാനയാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്ക് ഗുണം ചെയ്യും.

ഗള്‍ഫ് എയര്‍ കുവൈത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് കോഴിക്കോട്ടേക്ക് പ്രതിദിന വിമാന സര്‍വീസ് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു. ജൂണ്‍ 15 മുതല്‍ ദിവസവും രണ്ട് സര്‍വീസ് കോഴിക്കോട്ടേക്കും ഒരു സര്‍വീസ് തിരിച്ചുമാണ് ഷെഡ്യൂള്‍ ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ളത്. ബഹറൈന്‍ വഴിയാണ് എല്ലാ സര്‍വീസുകളും. കുവൈത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് വൈകിട്ട് മൂന്നിന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് പുലര്‍ച്ചെ നാലിന് എത്തുന്നതാണ് ആദ്യ സര്‍വീസ്. രണ്ടാമത്തെ സര്‍വീസ് കുവൈത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് വൈകിട്ട് 6.20ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് പുലര്‍ച്ചെ നാലിന് എത്തും. കോഴിക്കോട്ട് നിന്ന് കുവൈത്തിലേക്കുള്ള വിമാനം ദിവസവും പുലര്‍ച്ചെ 4.50ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് രാവിലെ 10.40ന്എത്തും.
