Ice Cathedral Spectacle in the Swiss Alps delights visitors
An ice cave formed naturally on a high-altitude glacier in the Swiss Alps became accessible this week, to the delight of visitors who came to marvel at the huge blue vault of the “ice cathedral”. Changing size and shape from year to year, the cave has a rounded ceiling made of thick ice about 5 meters high and is 20 meters long. Massive iceberg approaching tiny village in Greenland
Photo Courtesy – REUTERS A huge iceberg has drifted close to a village in western Greenland, prompting a disaster in case it splits and the resulting wave swamps homes. The iceberg is looming over houses on a cape in the Innaarsuit village, but is grounded and did not move overnight, local media say.
