Ganga will be completely clean by March 2020: Gadkari
Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Nitin Gadkari said at Prayagraj Kumbh that water of river Ganga will be completely clean by March 2020. Talking to media persons at Kumbh, he said the flow of the river will also be undisrupted. “The quality of water of river Ganga at Sangam at this Kumbh is much better in the comparison to previous years and this is the result of completion of only 30 per cent projects being implemented by the Government under Namami Gange programme for rejuvenation of the Ganga. NMCG is planning to set up ‘Ganga Museums’ on the bank of the river
The central ministry is planning to set up a Ganga Exhibition and a Ganga Museum to showcase the history and mythology and the importance of the sacred river in the livelihood of the people living around it. It was announced by National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG), as part of the Ganga Rejuvenation programme. The central museum will be set up in Delhi and there will be regional museums in different states.
