Kochi Airport, which has been closed since August 15 following incessant rain and flood that caused massive destruction to the state of Kerala, has resumed  operations at 2 pm today. Indigo flight 667 from Ahmadabad to Kochi was the first flight landed at the airport. As per the official circular issued by the Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) on Monday, all airlines, both domestic and international, will commence with the current schedule of operations. പ്രളയക്കെടുതി നേരിടാൻ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ ദുരിതാശ്വാസ നിധിയിലേക്ക് നടൻ മോഹൻലാൽ 25ലക്ഷം രൂപ നൽകി. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയുടെ വാർത്താ സമ്മേളനത്തിടെയാണ് മോഹൻലാൽ തുക കൈമാറിയത്. മോഹൻലാൽ ബ്രാൻഡ് അംബാസഡറായ എംസിആർ 22 ലക്ഷം രൂപയുടെ വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ നല്കുമെന്നറിയിച്ചു. ഒറ്റകെട്ടായി കേരളം നിന്നത് ദുരന്തബാധിതർക്കും ആശ്വാസമായെന്ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാരും കേരളത്തിനൊപ്പം നിന്നു . പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി വിളിച്ചു സഹകരണം അറിയിച്ചു. ദുരിത ബാധിത സഥലങ്ങൾ കാണാൻ കേന്ദ്ര ആഭ്യന്തരമന്ത്രി തന്നെ വന്നു. നൂറു കോടി രൂപ അടിയന്തര സഹായം കേന്ദ്രം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതും നല്ല കാര്യമാണെന്നും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
