FHRAI hails decision by Maharashtra Government to simplify the licensing process for Hotels & Restaurants

FHRAI has appreciated the decision of the Maharashtra government for granting industry status to Tourism and for efforts to simplify the licensing process for Hotels & Restaurants. Appoint special Covid-19 officer, keep one-metre distance with guests, provide PPE for staff, realign restaurant seats, strictly no buffets: FHRAI

The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) has recommended that hotels should appoint a special officer nominated among managers, who will be responsible for Covid-19 response planning and implementation. In its reopening manual, addressed to all registered hotels and resorts in the country, FHRAI said the special officer will be the contact point for Covid-19 emergencies, having decision making powers as required. The officer has to be supported by the operations head, quality control, HR and a medical officer connected with the property. FHRAI-FSSAI get together to initiate training programme for hospitality professionals

The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) has said it has initiated a training programme on COVID-19 preparedness in collaboration with food safety regulator FSSAI for hospitality professionals across the country. The programme aims to gear up hotel and restaurant players for a post-lockdown scenario to ensure the safety of their guests and to instil customer confidence, FHRAI said in a statement. FHRAI seeks intervention of tourism ministry

The Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) seeks assistance the of tourism ministry to find an amicable settlement of their dispute with online travel aggregators (OTAs) Go-Ibibo and Make My Trip (Go-MMT), and hospitality chain OYO Hotels. FHRAI has written to the Minister of State for Tourism, K J Alphons in this regard.
