Emirates unveils world’s first integrated biometric path
Emirates is gearing up to launch the world’s first “biometric path” which will offer its customers a smooth and truly seamless airport journey at the airline’s hub in Dubai International airport. Utilising the latest biometric technology – a mix of facial and iris recognition, Emirates passengers can soon check in for their flight, complete immigration formalities, enter the Emirates Lounge, and board their flights, simply by strolling through the airport. Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Emirates Airlines of UAE has signed MoU with Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam to boost tourism and trade. The agreement was inked during the visit of Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, to UAE with a delegation. Dubai to enhance air connectivity with India to boost tourism
India is the biggest tourism markets for Dubai and it aims at doubling number of tourists in the coming years. Last year around 2.1 million Indians visited Dubai. In order to achieve the target, Dubai is planning to enhance the air connectivity with India. “Air connectivity at present is not enough; we are running at almost full capacity. With the kind of campaigns we are running, demand will increase further. Emirates is offering travellers in Lebanon special Business class companion fares to 15 destinations across its network. The offers are valid for bookings until 31 October 2018, for travel until 20 December 2018. The special fares are available for two to eight people booking and flying together in Business Class. Emirates announces Codeshare partnership with Jetstar Pacific
Emirates and Jetstar Pacific have announced a new codeshare agreement, expanding the existing partnership between the Dubai-based carrier and Jetstar Group. The new partnership with the Ho Chi Minh City-based carrier allows Emirates’ passengers to enjoy connectivity on domestic flights within Vietnam, in addition to flights connecting Vietnam to Singapore, Thailand as well as Australia. Emirates will boost its services to Riyadh with the addition of a fourth daily flight to the Saudi capital from 1 September 2018. Emirates has launched a new service for customers in Bangladesh, giving them the option of applying for short stay visas to at the airline’s ticket counters. Emirates’ Bangladeshi passengers can now easily submit their visa applications for short stay visas at Emirates’ ticket counter in Dhaka. The new visa application service is valid until August 31st for submission while the travel period is until December 10, 2018.
