The UAE cabinet has approved a new self-sponsored Remote Work Visa that will enable employees from all over the world to live and work remotely from the UAE, even if their companies are based in another country. The one-year visa allows foreigners to enter the UAE and work in line with terms and conditions issued with the visa. The new scheme aims to support the public and private sector, and also enables employees to expand their digital skills and adapt to the emerging gig economy. Emirates Skywards, the award-winning loyalty programme of Emirates and flydubai, has opened its new Emirates Skywards Centre in Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB). The centre was inaugurated by Dr Nejib Ben Khedher, Senior Vice President, Emirates Skywards and Nick Moore, Senior Vice President, Passenger Services, Emirates. Dubai retains its position as world’s number one international airport
Dubai International Airport (DXB) has retained its position as the world’s number one international airport for the fourth consecutive year in 2017 with annual passenger traffic exceeding 88.2 million passengers. The airport connects 240 destinations around the world through about 140 airlines and is expected to serve 90.2 million passengers in 2018, said Dubai Airports’ CEO Paul Griffiths, providing an update on the first half of 2018. Flydubai to land at DXB Terminal 3 soon
Flydubai flights will soon be landing at Emirates’ Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport (DXB), thanks to the codeshare agreement and the growing passenger numbers. “The cooperation is growing very strongly, and in the future we’ll be moving flights to different parts of the airport, [and] absolutely to Terminal 3,” Ghaith al Ghaith, the CEO of the airlines said. Dubai to allow transit passengers to tour emirate
According to a proposal put forward by the Dubai Airports, it would soon allow the transit passengers to Dubai to leave the airport to experience the city in no time. “Dubai Airports proposes “Microcosm of Dubai” as part of @Dubai10X Initiative overseen by Dubai Future Foundation… In Dubai transit time will become tourism as passengers are encouraged to leave the airport to experience the city,” tweeted the Dubai Media Office through their official twitter handle. Dubai Airports welcomes inaugural SaudiGulf flight
Dubai Airports welcomed the inaugural flight of SaudiGulf Airlines at Dubai International’s (DXB) Terminal 1 with a traditional water salute followed by a cake cutting ceremony. SaudiGulf will operate double daily flights between the Saudi capital of Riyadh and Dubai. Riyadh is among the top ten city destinations for DXB in terms of traffic with more than 1.85 million passengers flying between the two cities in 2017.
