Mysuru all set to host winter festival to woo tourists

After the extravagant Dussehra, Mysuru is all set to woo tourists with its winter festival. With aim to attract the year-end crowd, the state tourism department has inaugurated the winter festival on December 22. The festival is organised by the Mysuru District Administration, Karnataka Tourism Department and the Mysore Palace Board, in association with the city-based hotel, tourist taxi associations. The district tourism administration is expecting a footfall of more than 3 lakh during this big holiday season. Karnataka tourism spends Rs 8 crore for Dasara publicity

From Last year’s Dasara Festival In order to stimulate the drooping tourism in Mysuru, the State Tourism Department is spending Rs 8 crore for this year’s Dasara. The ministry is spending lavishly for the publicity of the forthcoming Dasara festival. It is expected to attract more tourists, locally, nationally and internationally. “Chief Minister H.D. Mysore Travel Mart 2018 begins; Min promises 3 new flights

Mysore is going to be well connected by air with Goa, Mumbai and Kochi, under the UDAAN scheme, promised K J Alphons, Union Minister for State for Tourism, while addressing the inaugural function of Mysuru Travel Mart 2018.
