Indian Railways launches three projects with CSR funds
Minister of Railways, Piyush Goyal, launched 3 projects supported through ‘Rail Sahyog’, which is a platform for the Corporates and PSUs to contribute to creation of amenities at or near Railway Stations through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. These projects would help augment Railways infrastructure, improve passenger experience and enhance cleanliness and hygiene. According the initiative, Wi-Fi Facility at 4,791 stations will be carried out by Tata Trust. Seven beaches in Puducherry to have face-lift
Rock Beach Seven beaches in Puducherry will have a face-lift with an estimated cost of Rs 44.07 crore. It was informed in the Assembly by the Health and Tourism Minister Malladi Krishna Rao. The works are about to complete in March 2019. He further stated that the development of the heritage area in Puducherry was in progress at an estimated cost of Rs 80 crore and would be completed by December 2018.
