IAAI launches national e-signature campaign to protect jobs
The national committee of IATA Agents Association of India (IAAI) has urged the entrepreneurs, employees & self-employed stakeholders, to participate in a nationwide e-signature campaign as a follow-up appeal to the Prime Minister of India, to prevent loss of jobs and revenue in the tourism sector. Travel agencies, tour operators, GDS & technology companies, travel & tourism training institutes, tourist guides, home stays and the entire supply chain of travel & tourism businesses in India, should participate in the campaign, IATA said. Kerala Tourism receives plaudits from US visitor
Foreign tourists are increasingly singing praises of the manner in which Kerala tourism authorities and the police are handling their affairs. Rebecca Dale, a US citizen, is the latest to appreciate the efforts of the authorities in helping her find some relief and comfort during the corona outbreak. US-Canada border closed for non-essential travel; trade will continue
US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have agreed to close the US-Canada border to all non-essential travel in an attempt to curb the spread of corona virus. There is significant border crossing between the two neighbouring countries on the daily basis, with great tourist attractions on either side. “We will be, by mutual consent, temporarily closing our northern border with Canada,” Trump tweeted. He said trade would not be affected. Both countries had already issued sweeping travel bans but had maintained exemptions for each other.
