Singapore’s Scoot to begin operations in Coimbatore, Trivandrum and Visakhapatnam
Singapore’s low-cost airlines, Scoot, is all set to strengthen its presence in India with the addition of new services to Coimbatore, Trivandrum and Visakhapatnam. Scoot will be the only airline operating direct non-stop flights from Trivandrum and Visakhapatnam to Singapore. Flights from Trivandrum to Singapore will commence on May 7, 2019, and flights from Coimbatore and Visakhapatnam will start from October 27, 2019, subject to regulatory approval. In India, Scoot already operates seven existing routes from Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Lucknow, and Tiruchirappalli. Air India’s Rs 1,000 night flights start tonight
If you are staying away from booking flight tickets to your favourite destinations in the season because of the skyrocketing airfares, there’s some good news for you from Air India. The national carrier is introducing flights for Rs 1,000 starting from today (November 30, 2018). The carrier is introducing night flights, also known as red-eye flights, on three routes—Bengaluru-Ahmedabad-Bengaluru, Delhi-Coimbatore-Delhi and Delhi-Goa-Delhi—with base fares that start at Rs 1,000. മെട്രോ നഗരത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള രണ്ടാമത്തെ എസി ഡബിള്‍ ഡെക്കര്‍ ട്രെയിനായ ബെംഗളൂരു-കോയമ്പത്തൂര്‍ ‘ഉദയ്’ എക്‌സ്പ്രസ് ജൂണ്‍ 10 മുതല്‍. കോയമ്പത്തൂരില്‍ നടക്കുന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ റെയില്‍വേ സഹമന്ത്രി രാജന്‍ ഗൊഹെയ്ന്‍ ഫ്‌ലാഗ് ഓഫ് ചെയ്യും. താമ്പരം-തിരുനെല്‍വേലി അന്ത്യോദയ സൂപ്പര്‍ഫാസ്റ്റ് ട്രെയിനും ഇതിനൊപ്പം ഫ്‌ലാഗ് ഓഫ് ചെയ്യും. ബെംഗളൂരു-ചെന്നൈ ഡബിള്‍ ഡെക്കര്‍ പോലെ ഉത്കൃഷ്ട് ഡബിള്‍ ഡെക്കര്‍ എയര്‍കണ്ടീഷന്‍ഡ് യാത്രി (ഉദയ്) എക്‌സ്പ്രസും പകലാണ് സര്‍വീസ് നടത്തുക. തിങ്കള്‍ ഒഴികെയുള്ള ദിവസങ്ങളില്‍ രാവിലെ 5.45നു കോയമ്പത്തൂരില്‍ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്ന ട്രെയിന്‍ ഉച്ചയ്ക്കു 12.40നു ബെംഗളൂരുവിലെത്തും. മടക്ക ട്രെയിന്‍ 2.15നു പുറപ്പെട്ട് രാത്രി ഒന്‍പതിനു കോയമ്പത്തൂരിലെത്തും. തിരുപ്പുര്‍, ഈറോഡ്, സേലം എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില്‍ സ്റ്റോപ്പുണ്ട്. വൈഫൈ, ട്രെയിനുകളുടെ തല്‍സമയ വിവരം ലഭ്യമാക്കുന്ന ജിപിഎസ് എല്‍ഇഡി ബോര്‍ഡ്, ഫുഡ് വെന്‍ഡിങ് മെഷീനുകള്‍ എന്നിവ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ 14 കോച്ചുകളുണ്ട്. ഒരു കോച്ചില്‍ 120 പേര്‍ക്കു യാത്ര ചെയ്യാം.

കോയമ്പത്തൂര്‍ രാജ്യാന്തര വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ഇന്‍ഡിഗോ എയര്‍ലൈന്‍സ് ജൂണ്‍ നാലു മുതല്‍ പുലര്‍ച്ചെ അഞ്ചിന് ചെന്നൈയിലേക്കു സര്‍വീസ് നടത്തും. ഇന്‍ഡിഗോ എയര്‍ലൈന്‍സിന്റെ ഒരു വിമാനത്തിനാണ് ജൂണ്‍ നാലു മുതല്‍ രാത്രി വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ നിര്‍ത്തിയിടാന്‍ അനുമതി ലഭിച്ചിതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്നാണ്. ചെന്നൈ-കോയമ്പത്തൂര്‍ മേഖലയില്‍ സര്‍വീസ് നടത്തുന്ന വിമാനം രാത്രി വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ നിര്‍ത്തിയിടും. ചെന്നൈയില്‍ നിന്നു രാത്രി 10.55നു പുറപ്പെടുന്ന വിമാനം 12.05ന് ഇവിടെ എത്തും. വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ നിര്‍ത്തിയിടുന്ന വിമാനം രാവിലെ 5.10നു പുറപ്പെട്ട് 6.20നു ചെന്നൈയിലെത്തും. ചെന്നൈയിലേക്കുള്ള യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്ക്, പ്രത്യേകിച്ചു വ്യാപാരി, വ്യവസായികള്‍ക്ക് ഈ വിമാനം ഏറെ പ്രയോജനമാകുമെന്നാണ് കണക്കു കൂട്ടുന്നത്. ഇപ്പോള്‍ ചെന്നൈയില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള അവസാന വിമാനം രാത്രി 7.55നാണ് ഇവിടെ എത്തുന്നത്. വൈകാതെ കൂടുതല്‍ വിമാനക്കമ്പനികള്‍ക്കു രാത്രി വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ നിര്‍ത്തിയിടാന്‍ അനുമതി ലഭിച്ചേക്കും. ഇപ്പോള്‍ രാവിലെ ഏഴിനാണ് ചെന്നൈയിലേക്കുള്ള ആദ്യ വിമാനം പുറപ്പെടുന്നത്. എയര്‍ ഇന്ത്യ, അലൈയന്‍സ് എയര്‍, എയര്‍ ഇന്ത്യ എക്‌സ്പ്രസ്, ഇന്‍ഡികോ, ജെറ്റ് കണക്ട്, സ്‌പൈസ് ജെറ്റ്, ജെറ്റ് എയര്‍വെയ്‌സ്, ...
