കോഴിക്കോട് വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽ വലിയ വിമാനങ്ങൾ ഇറങ്ങാൻ നടപടിയായി. ഇരട്ട എഞ്ചിനുള്ള സീ പ്‌ളെയിൻ സർവീസ് കേരളത്തിൽ തുടങ്ങാൻ അനുമതി നൽകിയതായും കേന്ദ്ര വ്യോമയാന മന്ത്രി സുരേഷ് പ്രഭു അറിയിച്ചു. ഡൽഹിയിൽ തന്നെകണ്ട കേന്ദ്ര ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രി അൽഫോൺസ് കണ്ണന്താനത്തെയാണ് സുരേഷ് പ്രഭു ഇക്കാര്യമറിയിച്ചത്. കോഴിക്കോട്ടു വലിയ വിമാനമിറങ്ങാൻ സുരക്ഷാ പരിശോധന പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയെന്ന് ഡിജിസിഎ അറിയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. സൗദി എയർലൈൻസ് ഉടൻ ഇവിടെ നിന്ന് സർവീസ് തുടങ്ങും. ഈ മാസം 28നകം ഇക്കാര്യത്തിൽ നടപടികൾ പൂർത്തീകരിക്കും. ഇതിനുശേഷം എപ്പോൾ വേണമെങ്കിലും സൗദി എയർ ലൈൻസിനു സർവീസ് തുടങ്ങാം. അടുത്ത വർഷം മുതൽ കോഴിക്കോട് ഹജ്ജ് എംബാർക്കേഷൻ പോയിന്റാകും. കണ്ണൂർ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിനുള്ള അനുമതികൾ ഒക്ടോബർ 1നു മുൻപ് പൂർണമായും നൽകും. ഇതിനു ശേഷം വിമാനത്താവളം എപ്പോൾ പ്രവർത്തിക്കണമെന്ന് സംസ്ഥാന സർക്കാരിന് തീരുമാനിക്കാം. കണ്ണൂർ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽ നിന്ന് സർവീസുകൾ തുടങ്ങാൻ ഇൻഡിഗോ, ഗോ എയർ,എയർ ഇന്ത്യ എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് അനുമതി നൽകി.ഒക്ടോബർ അവസാനം മുതൽ കണ്ണൂരിൽ നിന്ന് രാജ്യാന്തര ... Civil aviation minister Suresh Prabhu has expressed his interest in creating an entertainment park at the upcoming greenfield international airport in Mopa so as to attract more global tourists to the site. “As much as 234 acres of land (at the Mopa airport site) has been allotted for commercial development. We should explore the possibility of developing a huge entertainment park here so that it can be a tourist attraction,” the minister said. Alliance Air has started thrice-a-week flight service on the Delhi-Pathankot Delhi route. Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu inaugurated first flight from Delhi to Pathankot (Punjab), at a ceremony held at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. The carrier’s ATR aircraft will operate on this sector on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday under the flagship regional connectivity scheme,  Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN).
