Shanghai to promote industrial tourism
Shanghai City, China Shanghai in China is planning to open the doors of the industrial centers to the tourists. It was announced by the Shanghai Municipality on Thursday, 20th September 2018. The three-year programme envisages development of industrial tourism, including in industrial sites with local characteristics. The objective behind the programme is to generate interest in students and young entrepreneurs and help them enrich their awareness levels on industrial processes and projects. World’s tallest Confucius statue is coming up in China
China to unveil the world’s tallest statue of Confucius in eastern China’s Shandong Province during this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival on September 24 2018. The statue is 72 meter tall and is made of brass. The statue is installed near Nishan in the city of Qufu, which is the birthplace of Confucius. Confucius who lived between 551 BC and 479 BC, also known as Kong Qui or K’ung Fu-tzu, was a Chinese philosopher, teacher and political figure. His teachings, preserved in the Analects, focused on creating ethical models of family and public interaction and setting educational standards. Shanghai Tourism Festival (STF) is one of the major tourism events, which is jointly hosted by Shanghai Municipal Administration of Tourism, Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & TV and Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce. Visa free travel to Myanmar for travellers from China, Japan and South Korea
Meiktila-Taung Gyi Elephant Camp Tourists from China, Japan and South Korea will be able to travel to Myanmar without a visa from October 1, 2018 onwards. The new approach, which aims to encourage tourism to Myanmar, was announced by Vice President U Henry Van Thio at the Myanmar Tourism Conference. The visa free entry will be introduced as a one-year trial. Myanmar currently does not require tourist visas for travellers from eight fellow members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. China eyes Uganda as investment destination

India will conduct a road show in China to attract more tourists from that country which has the highest number of outbound people, Union Tourism Minister K J Alphons said today while announcing the schedule for the first India Tourism Mart. Aiming to double the number of foreign tourist arrivals and receipts from it in the next three years, India will conduct a road show in China, along with other promotional activities. China’s Fosun International planning to grab North American tourism market
Chinese multinational company Fosun International Ltd is planning to expand the business in North America’s tourism and leisure market through acquisitions. Fosun, the parent company of Club Med Sas aims to begin a new product line for China by acquiring travel agencies, resorts, theme parks or anything related to tourism sector. Australian Tourism records heavy increase in international tourists
Australia is one of the most preferred spot for the international tourists. This fact is confirmed by the new statistics from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Dubai Tourism ties up with Tencent
As a plan to promote Dubai as a favoured destination for Chinese travellers, the Dubai tourism authority has signed an agreement with Chinese internet giant Tencent on Tuesday. As per the statement issued by Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), the association will lead the Tencent network to spread out Dubai’s marketing reach and access within China.
