Photo Courtesy: The National Dubai is strengthening its ties with China for boosting tourism. It was announced by Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of Dubai Tourism, while talking in the Dubai China Conference, which is attended by more than 900 local dignitaries, stakeholders and Chinese partners. The tourism ministry is planning various activities to lure Chinese tourists to the country,  including city-wide Chinese New Year celebrations. In an attempt to initialize emergency landing, a Chinese pilot dumbed over 30 tonnes of fuel in mid-air, in an attempt to initialize emergency landing for a sick passenger on board. According to reports, the incident happened as a 60-year-old woman found with breathing difficulties, on board while travelling from Shanghai to NewYork. Even though the crew initiated first aid programme, the pilot took extreme measures to save the passenger’s life by throwing away the additional fuel, in order to safely land the heavy aircraft on the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Alaska.
