Chhattisgarh sets up dedicated fund for Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit
Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel has announced that a dedicated fund will be constituted for people to contribute towards the development of his government’s ambitious Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit project. “Chhattisgarh is ‘nanihal‘ (maternal place) of Lord Ram. Chhattisgarh to focus on developing water sports projects to attract local tourists
Chhattisgarh Tourism Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu has said the state will concentrate on promoting domestic tourism to overcome the impact of the pandemic on the tourism sector. Accordingly, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board will develop water sports and cafeteria at all the prominent dams and water bodies of the state, Sahu told a meeting of the Board’s directors. Chhattisgarh urges Centre to grant approval for developing Ram Van Gaman Path, under Swadesh Darshan Scheme
Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel has urged the Union minister of state for tourism, Prahlad Patel, to grant approval to the state’s plan to develop a circuit alongside the places Lord Ram visited during his exile, under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme. Bhupesh Baghel wrote to Patel stating that Chhattisgarh’s tourism department has selected nine such sites and prepared a concept plan at a cost of Rs 137.45 crore for developing the circuit.
