Chaliyar River Paddle 2019 to be held from September 20th
Chaliyar River Paddle’ is the 6th edition of this annual event by Jellyfish Water Sports and supported by Kerala Tourism. The three-day paddling event held from September 20th to September 22nd, 2019 targets water sports enthusiasts, nature lovers, tourists, children and people from all walks of life. മാമ്പുഴ, കടലുണ്ടി, ചാലിയാര്‍ പുഴകളേയും തീരങ്ങളേയും ബന്ധിപ്പിച്ച് ആരംഭിക്കുന്ന ജലായനം വിനോദ സഞ്ചാര പദ്ധതി ഈ മാസം 24ന് മാമ്പുഴ ഫാം ടൂറിസം സെന്‍ററില്‍ ടൂറിസം മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രന്‍ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്യും. പുഴകളേയും ജൈവ വൈവിധ്യങ്ങളേയും ഗ്രാമീണ ജീവിതത്തേയും സംരക്ഷിക്കുക, അവയെ ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക്‌ പരിചയപ്പെടുത്തുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ സംസ്ഥാന ഉത്തരവാദിത്ത ടൂറിസം മിഷന്‍റെയും കോഴിക്കോട് ബ്ലോക്ക് പഞ്ചായത്തിന്‍റെയും ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിലാണ് ജലായനം ടൂറിസം പദ്ധതി തുടങ്ങുന്നത്. കടലുണ്ടി, ഒളവണ്ണ പഞ്ചായത്തുകളുടെ പങ്കാളിത്തത്തോടെ കമ്യൂണിറ്റി റിസര്‍വ്, വനം, കൃഷി, ഫിഷറീസ് വകുപ്പുകളുമായി സഹകരിച്ചാണ് നീര്‍ത്തടത്തെ അടിസ്ഥാനപ്പെടുത്തിയ പുതിയ ടൂറിസം വികസനം പദ്ധതിക്ക് രൂപം നല്‍കിയത്. തോണിയാത്ര, ഹൗസ്ട്ടുബോട്ടുകള്‍, പുഴ-കടല്‍ മത്സ്യവിഭവങ്ങളടങ്ങിയ ഗ്രാമീണഭക്ഷണം, അക്വാകള്‍ച്ചര്‍ പാര്‍ക്ക്, ഹോംസ്റ്റേ, ആയുര്‍വേദ സുഖചികിത്സ, പാരമ്പര്യ ഉല്‍പ്പന്നങ്ങളുടെ ഉല്‍പ്പാദനവും നിര്‍മാണവും, കടലുണ്ടിയിലെ കണ്ടല്‍ വനങ്ങള്‍, അറബിക്കടലിനോട് ചേര്‍ന്നുള്ള ദേശാടന പക്ഷികളുടെ സങ്കേതം, കരകൌശലവസ്തുക്കളുടെ മ്യൂസിയം, അക്വാട്ടിക് ബയോപാര്‍ക്ക്, വാച്ച് ടവര്‍ തുടങ്ങി വൈവിധ്യമാര്‍ന്നതും പരിസ്ഥിതി സൗഹൃദവുമായ ടൂറിസം വികസന പദ്ധതികളാണ് ... Tourism min to inaugurate ‘Jalayanam’ on March 24
Kadalundi Tourism minister Kadakampally Surendran will inaugurate ‘Jalayanam’ on March 24 at the Mampuzha Farm Tourism Centre in Olavanna, Calicut. ‘Jalayanam’ is aimed at developing farm and aquatic tourism initiatives and is expected to boost tourism in Kadalundi and Olavanna areas. Mampuzha, Chaliyar, Kaladundi rivers and its nearby areas are included in the project. The Mampuzha farm tourism project in Olavanna grama panchayat, a major component of the initiative, features an aqua green organic farm and a boat ride connecting the villages on the banks of Mampuzha.
