Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), as part of raising the inbound tourism arrivals to the nation, had opened new tourism office at Toronto in Canada. The main propaganda put forward by TAT is to increase the number of Canadian visitors to Thailand. Previously, there were 238,000 Canadian tourist arrivals were marked annually, in which the authorities aim to increase the number to over 5,00,000 for the coming years. Cathay Pacific has decided to end its 70-year-old skirts-only rule for female uniformed staff after the flight attendants’ union won the right to wear trousers. The change would take place during the next uniform refresh, which is expected to be in three year’s time at the soonest. “We welcome and appreciate the company’s decision on giving us an option in choosing uniforms,” said Pauline Mak, vice chair of the Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Flight Attendants Association. Hong Kong-based air carrier Cathay Pacific and yoga pioneers Pure Yoga has joined hands to introduce in-flight well-being programme called ‘Travel Well with Yoga’. The project has initiated as part of the airlines ‘Life Well Travelled’ campaign that includes an array of video series prepared by international trainers of Pure Yoga. The video aims to calm the passengers through a series of meditation and exercise tips translated into different languages – English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Japanese.
