New York marks record number of tourist arrivals
The city tourism bureau of New York City & Company (NYC & Co) has published a new record of over 62.8 million tourist arrival in the state during 2017. The new arrival is 3.8 per cent more than that of 2016. The data states that over 79.1 per cent tourist were domestic tourists and the remaining are from foreign countries. Kerala Blog Express flagged off
The fifth edition of the much awaited, annual two-week-long bus trip, the Kerala Blog Express, organised by state Tourism Department has been flagged off from Mascot Hotel by Minister for Tourism Kadakampally Surendran. “The two-week journey by ‘Kerala Blog Express’ would cover all the important destinations in Kerala and would conclude the trip in Kochi on 1st April. AAHAR 2018 kick starts in Delhi
Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Suresh Prabhu inaugurated the 33rd edition of ‘AAHAR 2018’, a 4-day event on International Food and Hospitality at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. The event is organised by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), in association with Agricultural Processed Food Products Development Authority (APEDA), and Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Due to heavy snowfall, high winds and avalanche hazard, The Peak Express, Harmony 6 Express, Symphony Express, and Whistler T-bars in Whistler, will not be in operation. On Blackcomb, The 7th Heaven Express, Glacier Express, and Showcase T-bar will not be in operation , all The Peak 2 Peak Gondola will also be on standby to start the day due to high winds. 43.7 million tourists visited Toronto in 2017
A record number of 43.7 million tourists visited Toronto in 2017, led by Americans, Chinese and British tourists. According to the latest statistics released by Tourism Toronto, tourists pumped $8.8 billion into the local economy in 2017. Toronto also recorded a $700 million spike in booked hotels, attractions and restaurants compared to 2016. International visits surpassed the 5 million mark for the first time.
