Marking a new record of visits, San Diego County had 7.6 million visitors for the first three months of 2018. The recent statistics by San Diego Tourism Authority confirms that the number of tourists visiting the county has increased considerably and so is the spending spree. The hotel bookings, museum visits, theme parks business have also gone higher and there were tourists who even visited the county just for a day. An outlet in California had physically flipped the logo outside its premise, followed by employees wearing special t-shirts and hats at 100 locations across America. Two people were injured at Squaw Valley Ski Resort in California ski after an avalanche caught five people. One of them is seriously injured, report sates. Dozens of rescuers rushed to the scene Friday afternoon at  east of Sacramento. One man was hospitalized with a serious lower body injury, another person was treated and released and three people weren’t hurt. The resort has been closed. The avalanche occurred a day after a snowboarder died at the resort after a blizzard packing 150-mph winds hit the Sierra Nevada.

എഞ്ചിന്‍ തകരാറായതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് അമേരിക്കയില്‍ വിമാനം ഹൈവേയില്‍ ഇറക്കി. കാലിഫോര്‍ണിയയിലാണ് സംഭവം. ആര്‍ക്കും അപകടം സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. വിമാനം ഹൈവേയില്‍ ഇറക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത് വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ കുറവായതിനാല്‍ വന്‍ ദുരന്തം ഒഴിവായി. സാന്‍റിയാഗോയില്‍ നിന്ന് വാന്‍ നുയിസിലേക്ക് പോവുകയായിരുന്ന ചെറുവിമാനമാണ് അടിയന്തിര ലാന്‍ഡിംഗ് നടത്തിയത്. ഇസ്സി സ്ലോഡ് എന്ന പൈലറ്റാണ് വിമാനം പറത്തിയിരുന്നത്. എഞ്ചിന്‍ തകരാര്‍ ശ്രദ്ധയില്‍പെട്ട ഇസ്സി സ്ലോഡ് എഞ്ചിന്‍ വീണ്ടും പ്രവര്‍ത്തിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ നടത്തിയ ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ പരാജയപ്പെട്ടതോടെയാണ് വിമാനം ഹൈവേയില്‍ ഇറക്കിയത്. വിമാനം ഹൈവേയില്‍ അടിയന്തിരമായി ഇറക്കുകയാണെന്ന് പൈലറ്റ്‌ എയര്‍ ട്രാഫിക് കണ്‍ട്രോളിനെ അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നു. ആ സമയത്ത് വാഹനങ്ങള്‍ കുറവായിരുന്നത് അത്ഭുതമായി തോന്നുന്നുവെന്ന് പൈലറ്റ്‌ മാധ്യമങ്ങളോട് പറഞ്ഞു. സംഭവത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ഫെഡറല്‍ ഏവിയേഷന്‍ അഡ്മിനിസ്ട്രെഷന്‍ അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചു.
