Unruly Indian Passenger who went on a rampage in aircraft detained at Bulgaria
An unruly Indian passenger who was on board an Air France flight to New Delhi from Ghana via Paris forced the aircraft to make an emergency landing Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital, according to media reports. As per the Bulgarian News Agency BTA, the Indian national, whose identity was not disclosed to the public , has been detained for 72 hours, quoted Sofia City Prosecutor Iliana Kirilova Kirilova said “After the troublemaker’s detention, the flight proceeded to its destination.” The Indian passenger has been charged with endangering the safety of an airborne aircraft, said Ivailo Angelov of the National Investigation Service. Bulgaria’s FTA revenue up 9.7% in H1
Bulgaria’s revenue from foreign tourist arrivals saw a rise by an annual 9.7 per cent to 1.3 billion euro ($1.5 billion) in the first six months of 2018, the tourism ministry said on Friday, quoting data from the central bank. In June alone, Bulgaria’s revenue from foreign tourist arrivals increased by 8.1 per cent year-on-year to 490 million euro, the tourism ministry said in a statement. Some 3.6 million foreign tourists visited Bulgaria in the first half of 2018, up 8.9 per cent compared to the same period of last year.

Bulgaria to issue faster tourist visa for Russians
Bulgaria, as part of providing a flawless tourism service to the neighbouring countries like Russia, has issued a fast processing of tourist visas within 48 hours. The new policy has been exclusively put forward by Nikolina Angelkova, Bulgarian Tourism Minister in a television interview. “Turkey is our main rival as its tourist industry has government support and it can make particularly good tourist offers as. Bulgaria reports growth in inbound tourism
A total of 8.88 million foreign tourists visited Bulgaria last year, reporting a 7.6 per cent growth compared to 2016. Around 1.16 million tourists came from neighboring Greece, a figure that was up 8.5 per cent year-on-year, the Bulgarian tourism ministry said on its website. With 1.14 million tourists, Romania came second, with an increase of nearly four per cent, the ministry said.
