BrahMos, the supersonic cruise missile of India, has been successfully tested from Rajasthan’s Pokhran test range earlier today. “The precision strike weapon with Indian-made seeker flew in its designated trajectory, and hit the target with pinpoint accuracy,” tweeted Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Defence Minister. The incredible supersonic missile travels three times the speed of sound, with a range of over 290 kilometres. The range can further be extended to over 400 km with additional booster engines. “The successful test will further bolster our national security,” added the Defence Minister.
