Lokame Tharavadu (The World Is One Family) is a large-scale curated contemporary art exhibition of Malayali artists, organized by the Kochi Biennale Foundation. Over 260 artists will be exhibiting a collection of their works, to foreground each of their practices. Lokame Tharavadu is conceptualized as a congregation of the best of resident and Pravasi artists, in consonance with the Loka Kerala Sabha initiative of the government. The Kochi-Muziris Biennale Foundation is planning to raise Rs 10 crore for the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund for flood victims. The amount will be mobilized by the Biennale Foundation through an auction of works by world famous artists at Mumbai. It was informed by Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of Kerala on a review meeting held on 15th October 2018, assessing progress of the works for the biennale.
