Bengaluru airport becomes “contactless” zone, right from parking to boarding
‘Contactless’ would be the buzzword at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, when operations resume from May 25. In an effort to protect passengers and staff from the risk of COVID-19 transmission, Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) has introduced a parking-to-boarding contactless journey at the airport. With greater emphasis on minimum touch and minimum exposure between passengers and airport personnel, BIAL aims to minimise all physical contact at the airport. Women Passengers can have Pink Taxi service at Bengaluru Airport

To ensure safe and hassle-free journey for women travellers, the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) has launched a fleet of ten ‘women only’ cabs, in association with Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL). Fully automated self bag drop system at Bengaluru airport
You don’t have to wait for long to check-in your baggage at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru, anymore. The whole process of baggage check-in will take only 45 seconds from now on as the airport has deployed fully-automated self bag drop machines at the airport. The self bag drop machines will accelerate the baggage transaction and reduce check-in queues. Indian aviation sector will see Rs 1 lakh cr investment in five years
It is reported that the aviation sector in India, currently growing at nearly 28 per cent, will see an investment of close to Rs 1 lakh cr in the next five years for capacity augmentation and development of new greenfield airports, according to Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha. The Aviation ministry is planning to achieve 1 billion passenger trips per annum within the next 15-20 years. “The capacity addition will come with other amenities such as use of digital technology for passenger verification and bringing about a paradigm shift in airport designs,” said the minister.
