Goa’s tourism season will start from 4th October 2018, with arrival of the first chartered flight from Russia, carrying tourists. റാസല്‍ഖൈമയിലെ ബീച്ചുകളിൽ പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് കവറുകൾക്കു നിരോധനം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തി. പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് മാലിന്യങ്ങൾ മൽസ്യങ്ങൾക്കും കടൽജീവികൾക്കും വൻഭീഷണി ഉയർത്തുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിലാണിത്. മൽസ്യത്തൊഴിലാളികളും വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികളും ഇക്കാര്യത്തിൽ ജാഗ്രത പുലർത്തണമെന്ന് അധികൃതർ നിർദേശിച്ചു. പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് മാലിന്യങ്ങളും പൊട്ടിയ വലകളും മറ്റും കടൽ ജീവികളുടെ നാശത്തിനു കാരണമാകുന്നതായി പരിസ്ഥിതി സംരക്ഷണ വികസന അതോറിറ്റി ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. വലകളിൽ കുടുങ്ങിയും മാലിന്യങ്ങൾ ഉള്ളിൽ ചെന്നും വലിയതോതിൽ കടൽജീവികൾ ചത്തൊടുങ്ങുന്നുണ്ട്. ഷോപ്പിങ് മാളുകളിലും പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് കവറുകൾ ഒഴിവാക്കാനുള്ള നടപടികള്‍ പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്. ഇക്കാര്യത്തിൽ പ്രധാന മാളുകളുമായി ധാരണയിലെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. പകരം പരിസ്ഥിതി സൗഹൃദ കവറുകളും ബാഗുകളും നൽകും. ബോധവൽക്കരണ നടപടികൾ ഊർജിതമാക്കാനും തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
