Procession organized by ATTOI in Thiruvananthapuram Kerala’s tourism sector has been bouncing back to normalcy after the devastating floods of August this year. However, the industry is still facing holdups in various forms from different areas. The recent strike (harthal) in the name of Sabarimala temple was the latest event, which affected the tourists visiting the state. Normally tourists are exempted from strikes or harthals, as they are considered guests of the state.   കേരളം നേരിട്ട മഹാപ്രളയത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് തകര്‍ന്ന   പ്രധാന വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലേക്കുള്ള റോഡുകള്‍ പുനര്‍നിര്‍മ്മിക്കുന്നതിനാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ മുന്‍ഗണന നല്‍കുന്നതെന്ന് ടൂറിസം  മന്ത്രി കടകംപള്ളി സുരേന്ദ്രന്‍ . പ്രളയ ദുരിതാശ്വാസ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളില്‍ ഏര്‍പ്പെട്ട ടൂറിസം മേഖലയിലെ സന്നദ്ധപ്രവര്‍ത്തകരെ അനുമോദിക്കാന്‍ കനകക്കുന്ന് കൊട്ടാരത്തില്‍ ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പ് സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ‘കൈത്താങ്ങിന് കൂപ്പുകൈ’ പരിപാടിയില്‍ സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു മന്ത്രി.   കോടിക്കണക്കിനു രൂപയുടെ നഷ്ടമാണ് ടൂറിസം വ്യവസായത്തിനുണ്ടായത്. വിനോദസഞ്ചാര കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലേയ്ക്കുള്ള റോഡുകളുടെ തകര്‍ച്ചയാണ് പ്രധാന വെല്ലുവിളി. ഈ റോഡുകള്‍ ഉപയോഗയോഗ്യമാക്കുന്നതിന് ടൂറിസം വകുപ്പ് ശുപാര്‍ശ നല്‍കും. പ്രളയ ദുരിതാശ്വാസ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളില്‍ ടൂറിസം മേഖലയിലുള്ളവരുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം പ്രശംസനീയമാണ്. ജനങ്ങളെ ദുരന്തമേഖലയില്‍നിന്നു രക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനും അവശ്യ സാധനങ്ങള്‍ എത്തിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നതിനും  ടൂറിസം മേഖല  ഒന്നടങ്കം സഹകരിച്ചു. പ്രളയത്തിലകപ്പെട്ടവര്‍ക്ക് താമസിക്കുന്നതിനു റിസോര്‍ട്ടുകളും ഹൗസ്ബോട്ടുകളും വിട്ടുനല്‍കി. ജീവന്‍രക്ഷാ ഉപാധികള്‍ മറ്റു സ്ഥലങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നു എത്തിച്ചു നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ ജഡായു എര്‍ത്ത് സെന്‍ററിന്‍റെ ഹെലികോപ്റ്ററും സൗജന്യമായി വിട്ടുനല്‍കി. നിപ്പ വൈറസ് ബാധയുടെ തിരിച്ചടിയില്‍ നിന്ന് കേരളത്തിലെ ടൂറിസം ...
