Tamil Nadu to get USD 31 million ADB aid for tourism development
Tamil Nadu will get a loan of USD 31 million from The Asian Development Bank (ADB) to develop tourism and to enhance employment opportunities in the state. It was revealed by a finance ministry statement issued on December 11. This loan is a part of Infrastructure Development Investment Program for Tourism (IDIPT). “The project (IDIPT) will support the conservation and restoration of 8 heritage monuments, 1 museum, 3 temples and a pond,” states the press release. “It will build various facilities at the tourism sites, including tourist information center, rest centers and toilet blocks, with facilities served by solar-powered lighting ... ADB approves Rs 1,900 crore tourism projects in Himachal
Bantony Castle With an aim to explore the untapped tourism potential of the state, Himachal Pradesh government has sought financial aid from Asian Development Bank (ADB) and got approval for projects worth of Rs 1,900 crores. It was informed by Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, during a meeting with Kenichi Yokoyama, the country director of ADB. Himachal gets additional ADB loan for tourism projects
Asian Development Bank (ADB) said it will give additional loan for Himachal Pradesh to develop tourism infrastructure in the state. An ADB team led by Country Director Kenichi Yokoyama called on state Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur to allocate the second trench of Rs 750 crore loan under the Infrastructure Development Investment Programme for Tourism.
