North-East India: For the Immersive Traveller
To showcase the north-east region of India, which is a largely unexplored destination for both domestic and foreign travellers, the Ministry of Tourism’s Dekho Apna Desh webinar “Northeast India for the immersive traveller” offered an attractive virtual tour to four north-eastern states namely Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Sikkim. 2006 മെയ് വരെ അരുണാചലിലെ ഈ പക്ഷികളുടെ പറുദീസ അധികമാര്‍ക്കും അറിയില്ലായിരുന്നു. പശ്ചിമ അരുണാചല്‍പ്രദേശ് പ്രകൃതി വിസ്മങ്ങളുടെ കലവറയാണ്. പക്ഷിനിരീക്ഷകനായ രമണ ആത്രേയ ഇവിടെ പുതിയ പക്ഷികളെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നത് വരെ ഈഗിള്‍ നെസ്റ്റ് വൈല്‍ഡ് ലൈഫ് സ്വന്‍ച്വറി പുറംലോകം അറിയുന്നത്. ആത്രേയ കണ്ടെത്തിയ പക്ഷിക്ക് തന്റെ നാട്ടിലെ ബുഗണ്‍ ഗോത്രവര്‍ഗത്തിന്റെ പേര് കൂടി ചേര്‍ത്ത് ബുഗണ്‍ ലിയോസിച്ചില എന്ന് പേരിട്ടു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഈ കണ്ട്പിടുത്തമാണ് ലോകപ്രശസ്ത ഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫറുടെയും പക്ഷിനിരീക്ഷകരുടെയും ഇടയില്‍ ഈഗിള്‍നെസ്റ്റിനെ ഒന്നാമതാക്കിയത്. 500 പക്ഷിയിനങ്ങള്‍ ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്. അപൂര്‍വ ഇനം പക്ഷികളായ ഗ്രേ പീകോക്ക് പെസന്റ്, ബ്ലിത്ത്സ് ട്രഗോപന്‍, ടെമ്മിന്‍ക്സ് ട്രഗോപന്‍ എന്നിവ ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്. പക്ഷികളല്ലാതെ ഇവിടെ ആന, കരടികള്‍, കാട്ടുനായകള്‍, ഹിമാലയന്‍ സെറോ, കാട്ടുപോത്ത്, റെഡ് പാണ്ടകള്‍ എന്നീ മൃഗങ്ങളും ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്. പകലും രാത്രിയും ഒരുപോലെ നടക്കുന്ന ഗോള്‍ഡന്‍ കാറ്റ്, ലപ്പേര്‍ഡ് കാറ്റ്, ഹിമ കരടികള്‍, ഭൂട്ടാന്‍ ജെയ്ന്റ് ഫ്ളൈയിംഗ് സ്‌ക്വാറല്‍സ്, ആരോ ടെയില്‍ഡ് ഫ്ളൈയിംഗ് സ്‌ക്വാറല്‍സ്, തേവാങ്ക് എന്നീ ... Arunachal Pradesh records quick growth in tourist arrivals
Arunachal Pradesh recorded a leap in the number of tourist arrivals as around 26,00,000 domestic and 52,000 visited the state in the year as compared to the same period last year. The members of Arunachal Pradesh Tour Operators’ Association (APTOA) have contributed around 17 crores as revenue to the state treasury.
