Pravin Kumar takes charge as CEO of APTA and MD of APTDC
Pravin Kumar IAS has assumed charge as Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA) & Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) on 24th June 2019. A 2006 batch officer, Pravin Kumar earlier served as the District Collector & District Magistrate for West Godavari District before assuming as CEO, APTA & MD APTDC. Andhra Pradesh tourism to promote handicrafts industry
As part of revitalizing the handicrafts industry of the state, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority is conducting state wide workshops for the artisans. While talking to the media in the first such workshop on Sunday, 5th August 2018, Mukesh Kumar Meena, Secretary, Department of Tourism, Language and Culture, said traditional artisans producing enchanting range of handicrafts and weavers creating brilliant line of handloom apparel were integral part of the tourism sector. “We want to create a well-organized platform for the craftsmen to market their products easily and ensuring deserved prices,” he said. ‘Andhra Vantalu’ – cookery competition to promote Andhra Thali

Such a competition was organized on Wednesday, 1st August 2017, in association with Ramee Academy of Catering, Tourism and Hotel Management.
