Extension of closing time of eateries to boost nightlife in Andhra Pradesh
Late night meanderers of Andhra Pradesh need not starve any more. The state government has given approval to extend the last closing time of eateries until midnight. Currently, eateries have to close shop by 10.30 pm Order has been issued by the Labour Department to this effect. It is expected that the move will encourage nigh life in the state and will contribute to tourism development. The extension in closing time is only for eateries and not applicable for bars. Tourism projects should be completed in a fast track – CM, Andhra Pradesh
N Chandrababu Naidu, CM Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has exhorted his officials to complete all the tourism projects in a fast-track mode. He was addressing a review meeting with the State Tourism Promotion Board officials at the Secretariat. He asked to identify tourism circuits and develop state-of-the-art infrastructure to attract more tourists to the state – both domestic and international. APTDC plans to promote ‘bongu biryani’ and ‘bongu chicken’
Food lovers will soon to have the spicy flavours for ‘bongu biriyani’ and ‘bongu chicken’ (dishes made in bamboo logs), in Kadapa and Tirupati. As an initiative by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC), Chefs from both private and public sector restaurants in the districts had a training programme to cook ‘bongu biryani’ and ‘bongu chicken’, delicious dishes popular in local Andhra Pradesh.
