APTDC launches food zones in tourist hotspots
With an aim to attract more tourists to the state, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC), has set up food zones at three popular tourist spots in the state. The new facilities have been set up at Bheemili, Araku, and Yaradu beach. A drive-in restaurant has been opened in Araku Valley, a container restaurant has been opened near Bheemili, and a beachfront restaurant has been opened in Yarada. “The motive behind setting up these zones is to offer wide options of cuisines to visitors visiting this place from various states, and also to provide them a suitable ambience,” said T G ... Parasailing likely to be introduced at Rushikonda Beach in Vizag
With an aim to give a much-anticipated fillip to the adventure tourism sector in Vizag, the Andhra Pradesh tourism authorities have decided to introduce parasailing at the Rushikonda beach. The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation is all set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding in this regard with a private operator. The facility will be made available to the public only after the signing of the MoU. The APTDC is also planning to introduce a new boat service at the Rishikonda beach. Bamboo Chicken Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department has organized a food festival at AS Raja Grounds MVP Colony in Visakhapatnam on Friday, 1st March 2019. The event was inaugurated by HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao in the presence of AP Protocol additional secretary M Ashok Babu. IATO annual convention to be held at Visakhapatnam in September
The 33rd IATO convention held in Odisha The four-day 34th annual convention of Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) will be held at Hotel Novotel in Visakhapatnam from September 6 to 9. Tourism Minister KJ Alphons would inaugurate the convention on September 6. Tourism kiosk opens at Tirupati railway station
Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) has opened an information counter at the first platform of Tirupati railway station. The kiosk was inaugurated by APTDC Chairman V Jayarami Reddy in the presence of Tirupati Station Director K Satyanarayana. “The counter will be of immense use to pilgrims who visit Tirupati. They can get entire information about all tourism destinations in the state from the counter and plan their programmes during their pilgrimage,” Jayarami Reddy said.
