American Airlines is the latest major carrier to ban face masks with one-way valves or vents, following similar mandates from airlines including United, Delta and JetBlue. Starting July 1, American Airlines will book flights to capacity
American Airlines will book flights to capacity effective July 1, the company said in a press release on Friday. The airline said it will notify customers and allow them to move to more open flights if they are available at no extra price. “As more people continue to travel, customers may notice that flights are booked to capacity starting July 1,” the airline said, adding that customers can also move to another seat if space is available once boarding is complete. American Airlines touchdown in Czech Republic for the first time
By launching direct service between Václav Havel Airport, Prague and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), American Airlines has brought USA and Czech Republic closer. The daily flights will be operating throughout the summer season, providing more than 2,800 seats per week between the two cities. The flights are operated using Boeing 767-300 aircraft and is the first airline to connect the Czech Republic and the state of Pennsylvania with a direct flight. അമേരിക്കന്‍ എയര്‍ലൈന്‍സുമായി നിലവിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന് കരാര്‍ അവസാനിച്ചതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് വിമാന സര്‍വീസ് നിര്‍ത്തി ഇത്തിഹാദ്. കരാറിന് ശേഷം വിമാന സര്‍വീസ് തുടര്‍ന്ന് കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നത് സാമ്പത്തിക നഷ്ടം വരുത്തുമെന്നതിനാല്‍ മാര്‍ച്ച് 25 മുതല്‍ അബുദാബി-ഡാലസ് വിമാന സര്‍വീസ് നിര്‍ത്തിവെക്കുന്നതിന് തീരുമാനിച്ചതായി ഇത്തിഹാദ് എയര്‍വെയ്‌സ് ചീഫ് എക്‌സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് ഓഫീസര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. 2014 ലാണ് ഡാലസില്‍ നിന്നും ഇത്തിഹാദിന്റെ വിമാന സര്‍വീസ് ആരംഭിച്ചത്. ആദ്യ ആഴ്ചയില്‍ മൂന്നു സര്‍വീസ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത് 2017 മുതല്‍ ഏഴു ദിവസമായി ഉയര്‍ത്തിയിരുന്നു. 235000 യാത്രക്കാര്‍ ഇതുവരെ സര്‍വ്വീസ് പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഡാലസിലെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വംശജര്‍ക്കും പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് മലയാളികള്‍ക്കും ഈ സര്‍വീസ് വളരെ പ്രയോജനകരമായിരുന്നു. ഡാലസിലെ ഒരു സാംസ്‌കാരിക സാമൂഹ്യ സംഘടനകളോ നേതാക്കളോ ഇതിനെതിരെ പ്രതികരിക്കുവാന്‍ ഇതുവരെ തയ്യാറായിട്ടില്ല. ഷിക്കാഗോ, ലോസ്ആഞ്ജലിസ്, ന്യൂയോര്‍ക്ക്, വാഷിങ്ടണ്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ സ്ഥലങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള സര്‍വ്വീസുകള്‍ തുടരുമെന്നും അധികൃതര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.
