Ahead of Easter Break Emirates boosts services to Maldives and Seychelles
Emirates has announced it will increase services to popular holiday destinations, Maldives and Seychelles, ahead of the Easter break. Starting 28 March, the airline will offer customers 28 weekly flights to Male, and seven weekly flights to Mahe. The added services will meet market demand and offer customers greater flexibility, choice and connectivity while planning their travels this Easter holiday. Emirates currently offers customers 24 weekly flights to the Maldives, utilising a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Wear Mask or You will be De-Boarded ; DGCA Speaks Tough
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Saturday said that passengers will be “de-boarded” from flights if they don’t wear masks properly inside the aircraft or don’t follow “Covid-19 appropriate behaviour”. If a passenger violates protocol despite repeated warnings then the passenger will be treated as ‘Unruly Passenger’, the aviation regulator said. Domestic Flight ticket prices to shoot up as Govt increases cap on air fare
The flight tickets in India are set to rise as the civil aviation ministry on Thursday has increased the lower and upper limits on domestic airfares by 10 to 30%. The ministry extended the cap on airfare till 31 March. In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, the aviation ministry implemented a restriction on domestic airfare in May 2020. Domestic flights in India have a cap on fares with both an upper and lower limit. Jet Airways faces acute financial stringency
Jet Airways Ltd has told its pilots that the airline may be grounded in 60 days unless cost-cutting measures including pay cuts are put in place, as reported by Reuters on Friday, 3rd July 2018. Indian airline Vistara is in the processes expansion in term of domestic and international flights. As part of their growth plans, they have placed orders for six Boeing Co 787 Jets and 13 Airbus SE A320neos valued at $3.1 billion at list prices.
