UAE air ticket fares increased to Rs 1.5 lakhs- Travel ban from midnight today
Some airlines have increased fares to Rs 1.5 lakh in the wake of the UAE’s ban on flights from India to UAE taking effect at midnight today. The situation was aggravated when Air India and Air India Express booking sites went down for three days. Today, Air Arabia operates additional services from Kochi. Etihad announces code-share agreement with Air Arabia Abu Dhabi
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced a codeshare agreement with Abu Dhabi’s first low-cost airline, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Etihad has placed its ‘EY’ code on Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi to the Egyptian city of Alexandria July 14, followed by the Nile city of Sohag the next day. Air Arabia launches direct flights between Sharjah and Vienna
Air Arabia has announced that it will launch direct flights between Sharjah and Vienna, starting September 15, 2019. 11 international airlines will operate from Kannur airport
Eleven international companies and six domestic companies have agreed to operate from the Kannur International Airport, Kerala Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan said. “It is a matter of pride that we have been able to make progress in the construction of Kannur international airport within the last two years,” he said while presiding over the annual general meeting of the company. Air Arabia to start Prague operations from Sharjah
Air Arabia is all set to open new route to Prague, the capital of Czech Republic, from December 11, through its hub Sharjah. The new route will offer good connectivity from 13 stations in India to Prague. ഇന്ത്യയിലേയ്ക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരുന്ന മൃതദേഹങ്ങള് തൂക്കി നോക്കി നിരക്ക് ഈടാക്കുന്ന രീതി എയര് അറേബ്യ അവസാനിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇനി മുതല് യു.എ.ഇയില് നിന്നും ഇന്ത്യയിലേയ്ക്ക് മൃതദേഹം കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നതിന് 1100 ദിര്ഹം (19500 രൂപ) നല്കിയാല് മതിയാകുമെന്ന് എയര് അറേബ്യ അധികൃതര് അറിയിച്ചു. മൃതദേഹങ്ങള് തൂക്കിനോക്കി നിരക്ക് നിശ്ചയിക്കുന്ന രീതി നിര്ത്തലാക്കാന് പോകുന്ന ആദ്യത്തെ വിമാനക്കമ്പനിയായി ഇതോടെ എയര് ഇന്ത്യ മാറി. ഷാര്ജ സര്ക്കാറിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥതയിലുള്ള എയര് അറേബ്യയുടെ കാര്ഗോ വിഭാഗമാണ് ഇതു സംബന്ധിച്ച പുതിയ തീരുമാനം എടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. നിലവില് മൃതദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഭാരത്തിന് ആനുപാതികമായുള്ള നിരക്കാണ് വിവിധ എയര് ലൈനുകള് ഈടാക്കുന്നത്. ഇതിനെതിരെ പ്രധിഷേധങ്ങള് ഉയര്ന്നു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിലാണ് എയര് അറേബ്യയുടെ ഈ തീരുമാനം.
