Agra’s tourism sector to fly high on UDAN initiative
The tourism industry connected with Agra is expecting a major boost in the business as it is going to get air connectivity to Bengaluru, Bhopal, Lucknow, and Varanasi from May 2019,under the government’s UDAN regional connectivity scheme. UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) is a regional airport development and ‘Regional Connectivity Scheme’ (RCS) of Government of India, with the objective of ‘letting the common citizen of the country fly’, aimed at making air travel affordable and widespread, to boost inclusive national economic development end employment generation. Mughal style Charbagh garden is coming up near Taj Mahal
Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State for Culture and Environment, laid the Foundation Stone of Taj View Garden on the Taj Corridor Area between the Agra Fort and Taj Mahal in Agra on 14th February 2019. The Taj View Garden is being developed on the Mughal period’s Charbagh garden pattern by the Archaeological Survey of India, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Air India’s Agra-Jaipur flight to resume operations from July 16
After four long months, the Agra-Jaipur flight of Air India will start flying again from July 16th albeit at a changed time. The flight will be operating four days a week. The flight will be operated on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The flight will take off from Jaipur at 6:50 am and land in Agra at 8 am. The return flight will take off from Agra at 8:30 am and land in Jaipur at 9:30 am. ഏപ്രില്‍ ഒന്ന് മുതല്‍ താജ്മഹലില്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശകര്‍ക്ക് പ്രവേശനം മൂന്നു മണിക്കൂര്‍ മാത്രം. പ്രണയത്തിന്‍റെ അനശ്വര സ്മാരകത്തില്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശകരുടെ എണ്ണം ക്രമാതീതമായി കൂടുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിലാണ് കേന്ദ്ര പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പിന്‍റെ തീരുമാനം. പുതിയ തീരുമാനം നടപ്പാക്കാന്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ ജീവനക്കാരെ നിയമിക്കുമെന്ന് പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പ് അറിയിച്ചു. സന്ദര്‍ശകരെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കല്‍ സിഐഎസ്എഫിന് വലിയ തലവേദനയാണ്. അവധി ദിവസങ്ങളില്‍ അന്‍പതിനായിരത്തിലേറെപ്പേരാണ് താജ് മഹലില്‍ എത്തുന്നത്. പതിനഞ്ചു വയസിനു താഴെയുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് ടിക്കറ്റ് വേണ്ടാത്തതിനാല്‍ അവരുടെ എണ്ണം കണക്കില്‍ വരുന്നുമില്ല.

ടിഎന്‍എല്‍ ബ്യൂറോ Photo Courtesy: uptourism ആഗ്ര : താജ് കാണാനുള്ള നിരക്ക് ആര്‍ക്കിയോളജിക്കല്‍ സര്‍വേ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ കൂട്ടി. പ്രതിഷേധവുമായി വിവിധ സംഘടനകള്‍ രംഗത്തെത്തി. താജ് കാണാനെത്തുന്ന ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വേണ്ടത്ര സൗകര്യമൊരുക്കാതെ കൊള്ളയടി നടത്തുകയാണ് പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പ് എന്നാണ് ആരോപണം. രണ്ടു വര്‍ഷത്തിനിടെ രണ്ടാം തവണയാണ് നിരക്കുയര്‍ത്തല്‍. നിലവിലെ നിരക്ക് ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്‍ക്ക് 40 രൂപയാണ്. ഇതില്‍ 30 രൂപ പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പിനും 10 രൂപ ആഗ്ര വികസന അതോറിറ്റിക്കുമാണ് . ഇത് 50 രൂപയാക്കിയാണ് ഉയര്‍ത്തിയത്‌. 40 രൂപ പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പിന് ലഭിക്കും. വിദേശികള്‍ക്ക് ആയിരം രൂപയാണ് പ്രവേശന ഫീസ്‌. പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പും ആഗ്ര വികസന അതോറിറ്റിയും തത്തുല്യമായി വീതിക്കും. ഇത് 1100 രൂപയാക്കി 600 രൂപ വേണമെന്നാണ് പുരാവസ്തു വകുപ്പിന്‍റെ പക്ഷം. രണ്ടു ദിവസം മുന്‍പാണ് തീരുമാനം അറിയിച്ചതെന്നും വിജ്ഞാപനത്തില്‍ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ അഭിപ്രായം തേടിയതായും ആര്‍ക്കിയോളജിക്കല്‍ സര്‍വേ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ ആഗ്ര സര്‍ക്കിള്‍ തലവന്‍ ഡോ. ഭുവന്‍ വിക്രം ...
