Adani Group, the leading Infrastructure conglomerate in India, has stepped into the airports business by winning the bid for operating Thiruvananthapuram airport along with other four airports in the country. വിഴിഞ്ഞം തുറമുഖ പദ്ധതിയുടെ കരാര്‍ കാലയളവ്‌ നീട്ടി നല്‍കില്ലെന്ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി. ഓഖി ദുരന്തത്തെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് വന്‍ നാശനഷ്ട്മാണ് തുറമുഖത്തിന്‍റെ നിര്‍മാണത്തില്‍ വന്നത്. തുരന്നാണ് അദാനി ഗ്രൂപ്പ് കരാര്‍ കാലാവധി നീട്ടാന്‍ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയെ സമീപിച്ചത്. 16 മാസംകൂടി കാലാവധി നീട്ടിനല്കാന്‍ കമ്പനി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ഇത് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി അംഗീകരിച്ചില്ല. തുടര്‍ന്ന് എട്ടു മാസം നല്‍കിയാല്‍ മതിയെന്ന് കമ്പനി വീണ്ടും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ഇതും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി അംഗീകരിച്ചില്ല.    2019 ഡിസംബറില്‍ തന്നെ പദ്ധതി തീര്‍ക്കണമെന്നും കാലാവധി നീട്ടി നല്‍കാന്‍ പറ്റില്ലെന്നും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി അദാനി ഗ്രൂപ്പിനെ അറിയിച്ചു. അതേസമയം, ഓഖി ദുരന്തവും, കരിങ്കല്‍ എത്തിക്കാനുള്ളതിലെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളുമാണ് തുറമുഖ നിര്‍മാണം വൈകിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് അദാനി ഗ്രൂപ്പ് അറിയിച്ചു. ഇന്ന് ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം ചീഫ് സെക്രട്ടറിയുമായി അദാനി ഗ്രൂപ്പ് പ്രതിനിധികള്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച നടത്തുന്നുണ്ട്. തുടര്‍ന്ന് സര്‍ക്കാറിന്‍റെ അന്തിമ തീരുമാനം അറിയാം.
