Sharjah Tourism conducts multi-city Educational Seminars in India

Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority conducted multi-city educational and training sessions recently in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Nagpur and Lucknow. Key agents from the cities were invited to the event. Bollywood director Imtiaz Ali was distinguished Thursday, July 11th, with the Portuguese Touristic Medal of Merit. The medal and diploma were awarded by the Minister of Economy, Pedro Siza Vieira, and the Secretary of State for Tourism, Ana Mendes Godinho. “Clean Kerala Initiative”: Industry pledges to embrace RT practice

Leaders of tourism industry have unanimously agreed on the action plan for implementing a “Green Code of Conduct” in nine major tourist destinations and accommodation units in Kerala, as the two-day workshop held to mark the launch of “Clean Kerala Initiative,” piloted by Responsible Tourism Mission (RT) with the co-operation of the stake-holders in the tourism sector, concluded on Thursday. As per the action plan, at least two of these centres will be converted into RT practising destinations before December 31. Emirates to launch services to Mexico City via Barcelona

Emirates has announced its plan to launch a new daily service from Dubai (DXB) to Mexico City International Airport (MEX), via the Spanish city of Barcelona (BCN), starting on 9 December 2019. Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Tourism, Govt of Kerala, will inaugurate the project for the implementation of Green Code of Conduct in selected tourist centres to keep them plastic and garbage-free zones, on July 24. MOT to develop Tirthankar Circuit in Bihar

Ministry of Tourism under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme has identified Tirthankar Circuit as one of the fifteen thematic circuits for development in the country. All the sites associated with Jainism are covered under this circuit. The project is under implementation and Ministry has released Rs 26.19 crores for the project. Ministry has sanctioned the project-Development of Tirthankar Circuit: Vaishali-Arrah-Masad-Patna-Rajgir-Pawapuri-Champapuri in Bihar for Rs 52.39 crores in 2016-17.
