Norwegian Cruise Line, the world’s third-largest cruise operator, has warned there is “substantial doubt” that it will be able to continue in the industry, following the severe impact of the corona virus pandemic on travel. Carnival to resume cruise operations from August
Carnival Cruise Line is looking to resume service in North America on August 1, in a gradual “phase-in” approach. “We are taking a measured approach, focusing our return to service on a select number of home-ports where we have more significant operations that are easily accessible by car for the majority of our guests,” the Florida based international cruise liner said in a news release. Tourism major TUI commences travel business in China, urges EU to lift restrictions
German firm TUI AG, the world’s largest tourism group, has restarted its travel business in China, offering trips and flights within the country to local customers. The business is resuming after the government lifted a three-month sales ban, and operations will gradually be expanded amid a backlog of demand by Chinese customers, Chief Executive Officer Fritz Joussen said. Goa would like to open its doors to tourism once the lock-down gets lifted on May 17, state Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said. “After May 17 we would like to welcome tourists, if the central guidelines allow it. Chinese tourism is back in action and ready to welcome tourists from all over the world.
