The world’s largest all-glass undersea restaurant, 5.8 restaurant in Malaysia has conducted one-hour vinyasa flow class, surrounded by schools of colorful, tropical fish swimming in a liquid azure sky. FIFA World Cup: Russian fans can now fly visa-free

Russian fan can visit the country visa-free for the World Cup this summer. To encourage attendance, organizers have created a special Fan ID pass that will allow foreign soccer fans to visit Russia between June 4 and July 15 without having to apply for a separate tourist visa. Along with access to the stadiums, the card also entitles the holder to free public transport on match days in host cities. Those who have purchased a ticket to a World Cup match can obtain the pass. A magnitude of about 3.0 earthquake was measured in the Richter scale at central Oklahoma in the United States. Any kind of damages or causalities are recorded so far. Film tourism becomes growing interest in Philippines

Film tourism in the Philippines is gaining popularity as it creates significant impact in connecting audiences to destinations used as film locations. Realising the potential of film tourism, the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), an attached agency of the Department of Tourism (DOT), launched Cine Turismo, a new campaign which seeks to promote Philippine destinations through films. Indians take an average 5.6 trips annually: Visa survey

Indians like travelling more with an average 5.6 trips annually, significantly above the global average of 4.2 trips, according to the Global Travel Intention survey report by Visa. The report revealed that trips taken by Indians were largely contributed by business travel at 2.6 trips compared to APAC (1.6 trips) and global (1.4). The GTI study was conducted in collaboration with research and business intelligence firm ORC International and collected data over the course of 12,400 interviews in 27 markets. The online peer to peer cab service, Uber and Ola drivers from Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad had declared, a national wide infinite strike from Saturday midnight. Jackfruit to be declared as official state fruit of Kerala

The wholesome nutrient dense Jackfruit is about to be tagged as official state fruit of Kerala on 21st March. The core vision behind the move is to promote jackfruit and its allied products in the global market, said Minister for Agriculture, V.S Sunil Kumar. The Ministry also aims to generate about 15,000 crores of revenue, with the sale of Jackfruit and its associated products. Tougher visa policy to be adopted in EU

With an aim to adapt to the security concerns and challenges linked to migration and technology, the European Union is planning to update its common visa policy. “With the reforms we propose, it will become easier and faster for legitimate travellers to obtain a visa while security standards will be enhanced. “The new rules will also help improve cooperation with non-EU countries when it comes to return of irregular migrants,” said Dimitris Avramopoulos, Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship. Two hundred year old temple under reconstruction

The reconstruction of 200-year-old Golma Bhimeswor Temple, which was devastated in the 2015 Gorkha Earthquake, is underway in Dolakha. The foundation stone for the reconstruction was collectively laid by province minister and members, municipality representatives, local pilgrims, saints and intellectuals at Barhabise Municipality-8, Maneswora. The Department of Archaeology is provide financial assistance to the reconstruction. Allocating Rs 1.5 million in the current fiscal year, the Department is reconstructing the temple in the traditional pagoda style. The temple is located four kilometres away from Barhabise-Bhairavkunda road in the north-west of Barhabise Bazaar, the main trade hub of Sindhupalchok district.  

Double-digit growth for Rajasthan tourist arrivals

The tourist arrivals to Rajasthan recorded a double-digit growth for the second year in 2017.  The tourist arrivals increased 10.50 per cent to 45.91 million in 2017 compared to the previous year. Trump signs Taiwan Travel Act, drawing China’s ire

US President Donald Trump’s new legislation that encourages US officials to travel to Taiwan to meet their counterparts and vice versa, has angered China. Trump signed the Taiwan Travel Act late Friday. Taiwan’s foreign ministry said Saturday that the self-ruled island’s government would “continue to uphold the principles of mutual trust and mutual benefit to maintain close contact and communication with US.” US and Taiwan officials travel back and forth between the two countries.
