Ireland to open its first nudist beach in April
The first nude beach on the island of Ireland will officially open at Hawk Cliff in Dalkey, south Dublin in April. Public notices are being posted in the area to warn fellow sunbathers not to be shocked at the sight of naked people roaming freely on the beach. Irish Naturist Association has been campaigning for a nudist beach for a while and finally got its wish when Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council agreed to display signs at Hawk Cliff warning people of nude sunbathers, a first for Ireland. IRCTC opens luxury saloon car to public
Opening its doors to the common man for the first time, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) operated Railway Saloon Coach departed for its maiden tour to Katra from the Old Delhi Raiway Station with six passengers on board. India’s first saloon coach with air-conditioned rooms, attached bathrooms and valet services was earlier available for only top railway officials. Cathay Pacific ends skirts-only policy after 70 years
Cathay Pacific has decided to end its 70-year-old skirts-only rule for female uniformed staff after the flight attendants’ union won the right to wear trousers. The change would take place during the next uniform refresh, which is expected to be in three year’s time at the soonest. “We welcome and appreciate the company’s decision on giving us an option in choosing uniforms,” said Pauline Mak, vice chair of the Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Flight Attendants Association. Kozhikode beach to be differently-abled friendly
The Calicut District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) is planning to build wheelchair-friendly entrances at major tourism destinations in the city. The first in the list will be the much famed Kozhikode beach. Exclusive parking slots for the vehicles driven by differently-abled will also be arranged as part of the project. The guarded parking spaces will be designed to ensure easy entry and exit. The disabled-friendly tourism spots is also expected to attract foreign tourists. Of the 1.3 crore domestic tourists and 10.7 lakh international tourists arriving in Kerala, 10 per cent belongs to the differently-abled category.

New visa rule issued in US

Delhi Gov to deploy 1,000 e buses
Delhi government is planning to deploy 1000 electric buses in the capital city. It is estimated that each bus would cost around ₹2 crore to ₹2.5 crore. “The buses would be outsourced from China,” said Finance Minister Manish Sisodia, while delivering the budget speech last week. The project’s advisers are yet to be announced, followed by adding new infrastructure facility in the availability of charging stations. Two substations that can accommodate 11kv would be made at East Vinod Nagar and Bawana in Delhi. South Africa introducing electronic visas
South Africa’s Department of Home Affairs (DHA) said that the first phase of the electronic visa system will be piloted by the end of March 2019. This will make it easier for tourists to enter the country thanks to the online visa and permit application process and capturing of applicants’ biometrics both locally and abroad. The rollout of the first phase of the e-visa system is expected to take place at a foreign mission, embassy or local DHA office.
